As part of LEST, each participating school is invited to nominate one student from their school that models and strives to live as a Champion of Character. The Champions of Character representative from each school must be a 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student participating in at least one LEST event. As part of the LEST Opening Ceremonies, the LEST Champion of Character recipient will be given an award and will be recognized by Concordia University for their positive leadership.

Nomination Process

Each school participating in the Champions of Character Award should:

  • Select one LEST participant from grades 6th - 8th.
  • List the LEST events/competitions in which the student is participating on the Champions of Character Nomination Form.
  • Write a description (no longer than 50 words) that tells how the selected student models the Champions of Character values in their life.
  • Submit the Champions of Character Nomination Form to the LEST Coordinator (Leah Roney at [email protected]) by January 18, 2022.
