Our Nationally-Recognized not-so General Education

There's a reason that our freshmen rank in the top 10% of students nationally on almost every indicator of intellectual engagement. A key contributor is our signature curriculum Enduring Questions & Ideas (Q&I, for short).

Through a series of paired courses – Math & Philosophy, Biology & Theology, History & Literature – Q&I will prompt you to ask big questions and explore big ideas, such as:

  • What are truth, goodness and beauty?
  • What does it mean to be human?
  • How shall we be governed?
  • What should we believe?

Exploring these questions and ideas alongside your professors and peers will help you form habits of intellectual engagement that will not just prepare you for the rest of college, but for your career and the rest of your life.

Valuable & Accessible

Tuition & Financial Aid

When it comes to the cost of your education, Concordia University Irvine provides value for your tuition dollar. Here, in an environment of intellectual rigor, freedom and faith, you will be prepared for the career you want to have and the life you want to live. Or, as one alumnus put it, “Being here, I grew in more ways than I ever would have imagined.”

We intend to make a CUI education as accessible as it is valuable. More than 97% of our students receive some form of financial aid, and we award more than $40 million in federal, state and institutional assistance each year. What’s more, it’s possible — and completely normal — to graduate in four years from Concordia. This translates into significant savings and stronger financial health as you start the next chapter of your life.
