Dr. David Cherwien is the featured composer and organist for Concordia’s annual Fall HymnFest. Currently serving as Cantor at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, David is also the music director of the National Lutheran Choir, based in the Twin Cities. Cherwien’s hymn festivals are renown for their creativity with innovative merging of organ, piano, instruments and voices, while bearing witness that music is a glorious gift from God.

The devotional writings of Susan Palo Cherwien will form an integral part of our festival. Recognized for her inspirational poetry and meaningful hymn texts, Susan will be reading selections from her acclaimed books Crossings: Meditations for Worship and From Glory to Glory: Reflections for Worship.
