Department of Faculty Training and Development

(Formerly CELT)

Faculty Training and Development (FTD) provides opportunities for faculty to learn sound pedagogical practices in teaching using educational technology. All learning environments such as traditional face-to-face, blended, and online are valid delivery models for learning. FTD partners with faculty to help find the best methods of teaching in each environment. It also provides support in several heavily used technologies here at Concordia including Blackboard (our learning management system), Adobe Connect and Collaborate (used to conduct synchronous online class sessions), Panopto (screen capture and video recording), as well as the creation and curation of a library of training materials. FTD embraces the on-demand training model (meet your needs when they arise), but also provides traditional workshops and webinars. Please reach out to us - we look forward to working with you!
