New Faculty in the School of Professional Studies Tiffani Natalini-Whitmore joins the faculty of the nursing department as a full time faculty member after teaching in an adjunct capacity at Concordia University for the past 5 semesters. Tiffani has a B.S. in movement science from The University of Michigan, an M.S. in ergonomics also from The University of Michigan, an A.D.N. from College of the Desert, and an M.S. in nursing from The University of Phoenix. Tiffani Natalini-Whitmore is named on a federal patent for 4-point seatbelt design. The work she did while working in the research lab for Ford Motor Company helped lead to this patent. Tiffani is originally from Michigan but has lived in Southern California for the past 17 years. Aside from teaching, Tiffani also enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling the world, and learning about different cultures and people. Tiffani will be teaching in the ABSN program focusing mainly on medical surgical nursing theory, skills lab, and clinical instruction
Acquired a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island, Cum Laude. Earned a Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University with a specialty in Nursing Education. Graduated recently from Union University with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
Meagan provides administrative support for students in the RN-BSN program, helping them answer questions, register for classes and track their overall progression through the program. Meagan also provides administrative support to students, faculty and staff. She helps to coordinate things such as student testing, events and assists faculty with the assessment of curriculum and program evaluation.
Shannon provides administrative support in the day to day operations of the Department of Nursing. She helps to coordinate Department of Nursing events from interviews to pinning/graduation, works with nursing admissions to onboard new ABSN students, processes Department of Nursing purchase orders/reimbursements, and other various projects.
Shelby coordinates the placement of ABSN nursing students at clinical sites, as well as serves as a liaison between the clinical facilities and school, coordinates facility contracts, and oversees document compliance and health clearance of all students and instructors in the ABSN program.
Maria-Jean, “MJ”, is the Director of Nursing and Healthcare Admissions and Recruitment for Concordia University Irvine. In her role, Ms. Caterinicchio oversees the recruitment and admissions of adult and graduate nursing and healthcare students. She develops and optimizes strategic partnerships with hospital systems, foundations, community colleges, colleges and universities, businesses and governmental entities. She is also responsible for planning and implementing the networking, recruiting, and relationship-building efforts for Concordia’s nursing and healthcare programs.
Maria-Jean has over 30 years of leadership experience in healthcare, working for nonprofit, community and university teaching hospitals as well as within a national professional nursing organization, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Maria-Jean has significant experience in designing, implementing and evaluating systems to support strategic and organizational initiatives, leading project teams and facilitating organizational change.
Henny is the Admissions Counselor for the nursing programs at CUI. She works primarily with prospective ABSN students. She also reviews and processes all the ABSN applications.
Melissa is one of the Admission Counselors for the Accelerated BSN (ABSN) program. She assists with answering questions from students, completes Pre-Evaluation of transcripts, and is involved throughout the admission process. She is also the Admission Counselor for the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), which involves walking students through the application process, as well as enrollment in the first class.
Jennifer is the Admissions Counselors and Recruiter for the RN to BSN and MSN programs. She provides personal one on one attention in serving our Concordia University nursing students as their first point of contact with the application process and enrollment. She builds partnerships with our local community colleges, hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
