FAQ About Concordia’s Orange County MBA
What are the requirements for admission into the MBA program?
Domestic and international applicants must participate in a 30-minute interview with admissions as part of their application process.

Please be advised, we must receive all of your documents for your application at least 60 days prior to the start of the semester in which you intend to start the program.
After you submit the required documents we can begin working on your I-20 paperwork.

What are the deadlines to apply?
Domestic students: 1 month prior to the start date
International students: 2 months prior to the start date
Is the GMAT required?
The GMAT is not required. However, if you have taken the test and want to submit your scores we will take them into account when reviewing your file for admission.
Do you require students to be working while completing the MBA?
You do have to be working. Most of the projects directly correlate with work in the business world and are designed to be immediately applied to your profession.
How long will it take me to complete the MBA degree?
On average our students finish in approximately 2 years. The MBA degree is a total of 40 Units (20 units of Core Classes, 16 units of electives, and 4 units of Capstone).
How much will I be investing in my MBA degree?
Per unit cost for 2018-2019 school year is $940. Approximately $37,600 total
Are there majors or emphases in the MBA program?
Our MBA program is in Business Practice. We do not offer specific majors or emphasis but rather an overall view of business in your first year during the core classes. As you enter into your second year and elective courses you are able to pick and choose your own path to discover your own passions in business. There are over 20 electives to choose from and more are added every session.
When are classes for the MBA program offered?
Classes are offered in the evenings Monday – Thursday from 6 – 10pm, and Saturdays from 9am - 1pm. This allows working Orange County MBA students the ability to balance work, life and school.
Where are classes for the MBA program held?
The MBA program is face to face learning with a blend of technology. Classes are held at our main campus in Irvine, CA. By taking classes in such a central location in Orange County, MBA students find that they are able to effectively manage their work obligations while excelling in their coursework.
Does the business faculty have experience in the business world?
You bet! The business faculty at CUI are actual experts in their fields. Most have over 20 years experience working in their particular areas from marketing to management, green research, finance, accounting, non-profit and more! They hold the top degrees and have studied at prestigious schools. Since class sizes are small you are able to develop a relationship with these professors as well as be mentored by some of the best in their fields.

How are applicants selected?
Candidates are expected to provide evidence of their ability to achieve success in a graduate business program. Areas of measurement include but are not limited to:
- Success as an undergraduate student demonstrated by continuous improvement in their academic performance.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better (4.0 scale) in all previous college work meets this requirement.
- Since a high undergraduate GPA is not necessarily an indicator of business success, Concordia considers all applicant's academic accomplishments on an individual basis.

- Success as demonstrated by moral and ethical leadership
