Concordia University Irvine Climbs in Ranking to 15th Fastest-Growing Private Non-Profit Master's Institution in the Nation

IRVINE, Calif. (September 20, 2016)— Concordia University Irvine (CUI) has climbed in ranking from 17th to 15th among the fastest-growing private non-profit master's institutions in the nation, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education's recently released 2016-2017 Chronicle of Higher Education Almanac. This is the second consecutive year the private, non-profit Lutheran Christian university has been featured on the list. According to enrollment data evaluated by The Chronicle, CUI grew from 1,834 students to 4,311 students from 2004-2014, a 135 percent increase in enrollment over the 10-year period.

Last year, The Chronicle's 2015-2016 Almanac of Higher Education ranked Concordia University Irvine as the 17th fastest-growing private, non-profit master's institution in the nation. The 2015-2016 Almanac evaluated enrollment data from 2003-2013. During that 10-year span, CUI grew from 1,747 students to 4,046 students, a 132 percent increase.

Concordia University Irvine remains the only Orange County-based private, non-profit institution for higher learning to earn a spot in The Chronicle's ranking for the second consecutive year.
