IRVINE, Calif. (October 20, 2015) Concordia University Irvine (CUI) recently hosted the 26th Annual “Eagle Golf Classic” at the Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine, Calif. The tournament raised $80,000 with proceeds benefitting the Concordia Fund for student scholarships and university programs.

“It was an outstanding day with a great group of supporters of the University,” said Tim Jaeger, executive vice president of university advancement at CUI. “We are grateful to the Borland Family and Healing Heroes Ministries, who stepped up as this year’s title sponsors, as well as all of the other generous sponsors who helped make this a successful day for our students."

A total number of 144 golfers participated. First place winners were Robert Horn of Tustin, Karl Ramm of Lake Forest, Tyra Rikamaru of Silverado and Cliff Williamson of Foothill Ranch. Other tournament recognitions awarded include closest to the pin, men’s and women’s longest drives and a putting contest. The tournament’s commemorative sponsors were the Borland Family, Alsop & Associates, Stacker & Associates, Cornelius Family Trust and Healing Heroes Ministries, an organization dedicated to providing counseling, spiritual, mental support and family support to first responders and military personnel.
