Concordia Traditions

CONCORDIA serves

CONCORDIA serves

In its 2019 inaugural year, over 1,000 members of our CUI family went out into the community on one day, called to give to others from the abundance they have been given. The tradition continues! Our Annual CONCORDIA serves engages alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, donors, and friends around the world to serve where they are, in the way they can.

Beach Bash

Beach Bash

Beach bash is a annual tradition in August put on by our student activities team to kick off the year. All undergraduate students are invited to Corona Del Mar beach to have some good food, play games and compete for Hunt points, and end the night with a bonfire, s’mores, and worship!

Night of Hope

Night of Hope

Night of Hope (NOH) is an annual student-led benefit concert held at Concordia University Irvine. This event utilizes art to showcase the true hope that only Christ can bring. Through this purpose, we work to bring unity among Concordia's students, faculty, friends, and the local-global communities surrounding us.

Midnight Madness

Midnight Madness

We kick-off basketball season in the CU Arena with a spirited pep rally. The night begins with a pre-party featuring games and giveaways. Then Marty the Eagle introduces the men’s and women’s basketball teams. To round out the fun, former basketball players participate in a dunking contest, and then there’s, well – madness until midnight.

Field Day

Field Day

Field day is a school-wide event put on by The Hunt that occurs on the first night that classes begin. Every residence building and commuters compete in a variety of games to earn Hunt points for their team and get to know the people in our campus community!

Concordia Christmas

Concordia Christmas

Concordia's Christmas Concerts are perennial favorites for Orange County residents. The Concordia Community looks forward to performances by the Concordia Choir, Master Chorale, Men’s Chorus, Women’s Ensemble, Concert Handbells, and Orchestra. It is among the finest, sacred concerts of the year.
