Black Student Union
President: Jenelle Griffin
Mission Statement: Black Student Union strives to foster a sense of community for all students. It will provide an opportunity for students to express their views concerning current events, academics, cultural arts, and campus life.
Black Student Union is more then just a club, it's a community. Being away from home and family is never easy. BSU strives to give students an outlet for anything they're dealing with while away in college. Our main focus is comfortability. Our older members know how it feels to be in a new environment and how, without guidance, nothing else seems to go right. We, as a club, are available for guidance in any and every aspect, whether it is school/class-related, or just about life and sports. BSU is not about what ethnicity you are but your passion for helping others. Although we're starting small we hope to really take off with our club. Our activities and schedule for this coming year will include BBQs, hosting club dance nights, outdoor sports activities, group fellowship and worship once a week, "themed fun nights", and volunteering hours at the local Boys & Girls club.
