Many people do not know this, but in addition to serving as the university president, I am a proud parent of three Concordia University Irvine alumni - and my son married a Concordia alumna. Given this special connection, my love for Concordia runs deep, and my affection for family and friends of current students is quite strong. I know just what it is like to share with a CUI student the joys, trials, and successes of the Concordia Experience as we develop wise, honorable and cultivated citizens.

Oftentimes I'm asked, "Just what is this Concordia Experience you talk about so often?" I could spend a lot of time and energy trying to explain it, but I believe it is best understood through the words of the people here at Concordia. Take some time and surf our website. You will discover the Concordia Experience as you read over 300 quotes from current students describing their favorite professors and classes or discussing what they've found to be so special here. You'll observe that the Concordia Experience is also marked by excellence as you peruse over 50 examples of faculty awards, books, and publications.

You can even set up your own "MyCUI" webpage so that every time you return, you'll hear the news about Concordia that you want to hear - whether it's about campus life, athletic teams, music and drama, or news about coming events for family and friends.
