Safety Escorts

The Department of Campus Safety provides safety escorts for anyone during the evening and early morning hours and for those who are disabled.  Any person needing an escort should contact Campus Safety at the dispatch number (949) 214-3000 and state their name and location.  For those requesting a ride from their vehicle, please give a description of your vehicle and keep your emergency flashers on until the on-duty officer arrives.

Vehicle Battery Jump-start

Campus Safety and Community Services Officers provide vehicle battery jumps for community members and guests upon request.  Please contact Campus Safety Dispatch at (949) 214-3000 and provide a brief description of your vehicle and your location.  Remain with your vehicle while waiting for the officer.

Key Assists

On-duty officers perform key assists for faculty, staff, students, and individuals renting our facilities.  Please note the following limitations:

Dorm Rooms: Only resident students, RAs, ADs, and Maintenance are permitted entry into dorm rooms.  Resident students requesting a key assist to a dorm must provide their first name, last name, and room number to the operator or officer and be ready to show their ID (driver's license or student ID).  The student's name and room number must match in the housing assignment directory in order to gain entry.  If a student does not have ID, he/she must contact their RA or AD.

Dorm Storage Closets:  Campus Safety officers do not perform key assists into dorm closets.  Only ADs can grant access to storage.

Offices: Campus Safety officers will open office doors for Concordia employees only.  Any non-employee requesting a key assist into an office must have the occupant of that office notify Campus Safety.

Fitness Center (Cardio and Weight Rooms): Whereas the Fitness Center is not available to the general public, students and employess can use the facilities within the specified hours provided a Fitness Center supervisor or staff member is available.  Campus Safety officers will open the fitness center for Athletic Department employees and fitness center staff only.

In addition to these, other rooms on campus may have limited access.  Please observe room/lab hours where posted.
