Concordia University faculty member Peggy Duquesnel celebrates her eighth and latest CD release, Seems Like I Know You, with this concert featuring special guests Jeff Lorber on keyboards and Jimmy Haslip on bass. An acclaimed singer, pianist and composer, Duquesnel's new disc is a mix of original compositions and covers, with sounds ranging from jazz and pop to funk and even Latin. And though she may be best known in the O.C. for her organ performances as the stadium keyboardist for the Angels and the Ducks, she's also recorded and toured with fusion legends Lorber and Haslip, along with Henry Mancini and Dionne Warwick. The Concordia Jazz Combo and acoustic guitarist Donovan Raitt (who's a cousin of famed blues woman Bonnie Raitt) open the show.
