What is a matching gift?
Concordia is blessed to receive the additional support of its donors who direct matching gifts to the University. Many companies offer matching gift programs for their employees and their spouses. Some companies will match half of your charitable contribution. Most will match dollar for dollar and some will even double or triple the amount. Participating companies may also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Generally, a matching gift will go toward the same program as your gift, unless your company's policy requires otherwise.
If you are unsure if your company matches gifts, contact your HR office or Wendy Leivan at (949) 214-3186 or email@example.com.
