Three nights of summer fun and great music in 2014:
Sunday, July 6 – Concert on the Green Wind Orchestra
Back by popular demand, this 45-piece wind orchestra, conducted by Concordia music professor, Dr. Jeff Held, started off this summer’s music series with a rousing patriotic “concert in the park.” This all-star ensemble of college musicians and music educators delighted the audience with a variety of popular patriotic and pops selections. A perfect way to enjoy the 4th of July weekend!
Sunday, July 13 – Paperback Writer
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, Paperback Writer took its audience on a trip through the musical years of the world’s most popular music group of all time! All of the great hits were performed with “spot on” vocal, look and sound-alike ability. This national show is featured at Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Hard Rock Hotel resorts as well as dazzling audiences across the United States and around the world! A good time was had by all at the Paperback Writer Show, a true “Beatles Experience.”
Sunday, July 20 – Joshua Tree in Concert
The magic of U2 has captured the hearts and minds of millions and has created one of the largest followings in history. With over 8 years together, The Joshua Tree has developed a national reputation as having captured a piece of that magic and being the premiere U2 experience. With their note-perfect re-creation of the band’s classic hits, these talented players are keeping the U2/Bono legacy alive with their perfectly rendered concerts. Covering U2 albums from 1980 through 2009, Joshua Tree provides the consummate tribute band experience.
