Biography
Christine Ross began her responsibilities as Assistant Professor of Religious Education and Assistant Director of the Director of Christian Education (DCE) program at Concordia University-Irvine in 2003. Christine comes to Concordia with professional experience as a teaching assistant at Saint Louis University, a DCE in Oregon, Missouri and Texas and a Christian School teacher in inner-city Philadelphia. Christine’s academic career includes a BA in Biblical Studies and a BS in Christian Education from Trinity Lutheran College in Issaquah, WA, a Masters in Multi-cultural Education from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA, and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Saint Louis University. Christine especially enjoys sharing her passion for cross-cultural ministry, inter-generational education and the DCE profession. She and her husband, Richard, live near their church – St. Luke’s Lutheran – in Westminster, CA where Richard is privileged to serve as the sole pastor. They love to visit family and friends across the country, travel overseas and also enjoy reading at the nearest beach.
