 Piano/Organ AuditionsStudents who are capable of assisting the department with accompaniment/service playing needs are eligible for music scholarships. These guidelines help to assess the candidate’s current level of technique, musicianship, and ability, as well as potential for growth. In person (preferred):- Play 1-2 solos that demonstrate your musicianship.
- Sightread excerpts that will be selected for you.
- The audition will conclude with a brief interview.
By video (if the candidate is distant):Upload your video to a video hosting site (like YouTube) and email the link(s) to auditions@cui.edu (do not attach videos to emails). - Play 1-2 solos that demonstrate your musicianship.
- Play excerpts if they are emailed to you.
- Optional: Include a recording of you serving in an accompaniment role.
- Please introduce yourself and let us know why you are interested in Concordia, what your goals are, why you enjoy playing music, etc.
