Biography
Dr. Burgdorf is the director of the master’s degree cohort program in Los Angeles County. His educational background includes a Certificate of Advanced Study Degree in School Management from Northern Illinois University; a master’s degree in School Management from Northern Illinois University; and a bachelor’s degree in Education from Concordia University, Nebraska.
Prior to his retirement, in March 2007, Dr. Burgdorf served as the Chief Human Resource Officer for the Magnolia School District. He has also served as principal, chief business officer and superintendent. The vast majority of his administrative career has been as Chief Human Resource Officer for school districts and county offices of education. In addition, Dr. Burgdorf has taught in grades kindergarten through 12th.
Dr. Burgdorf served as the CCSSEA technology committee chair that created Ed-join, the electronic recruitment tool used throughout California and the nation. He has had many speaking engagements dealing with school administration. He is also an advisor for aspiring teachers, administrators, and upper level business executives on the art of employment application and interviewing.
