Trio Earn All-GSAC Tags
All-GSAC Team
(11/12/07 - Women's Volleyball) IRVINE - All-American Lindsey Campbell led a trio of Concordia women's volleyball team members chosen to the all-conference team selected by the conference coaches.
Campbell earned her third-straight all-conference nod, the first player in team history to accomplish the feat. She is currently third on the team with 2.80 kills per game and is second with 74 total blocks. Earlier this season, Campbell became just the third player in program history to record 1,000 kills, accomplishing the milestone in a four-game win over Azusa Pacific on October 20.
A two-time all-conference pick, Weamer currently leads the Eagles in kills and is second in digs. She has also been the team's most consistent passer, recording an impressive .982 reception percentage. Weamer has recorded 13 double-doubles this season, including season-highs of 20 kills against Biola and 25 digs against The Master's.
Scheele makes her first appearance on the all-GSAC team in her third season with the Eagles. She sits third on the Eagles with 247 kills and has turned in a fine .289 hitting percentage. She has twice posted a season-best 15 kills and also hit a career-best .556 with 10 kills on just 18 swings against Vanguard back on October 23.
Concordia (25-4) earned the #3 seed in this week's NAIA Region II Tournament and will host sixth-seeded Point Loma Nazarene this Tuesday, November 13 in quarterfinal round action at 7:00 p.m.
