(3/5/08 - Men's Golf) JAMUL - Junior Ryan Kelley fired a final round 1-over 71 to finish 4th overall and lead Concordia to a 7th place finish at the Point Loma Nazarene/Smee Builders Invitational, Tuesday afternoon at Steele Canyon Golf Club.

Kelley had one of his most consistent stretches of play as an Eagle, carding a 3-over 73 over his first 18 holes despite battling wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour. He came back on Monday afternoon and shot 75 as the Eagles found themselves tied for 5th place with Redlands thanks to a team score of 610.

While the rest of the team did its best to keep the scores down in the morning on Monday, Jordan Andrews found his stroke in the afternoon to fire an even-par round of 70, the second-lowest total on the day. Max Cohen and Andrew Kitching also trimmed their scores and each carded 75 over the second 18 holes.

On Tuesday, the team finished up with a total of 320, holding off #7-ranked Victoria (B.C.), 24th-ranked Southern Nazarene (Okla.) and #22 Cal State San Marcos. Andrews and Coehn finished just a shot apart at 233 and 234, respectively, while Kitching was 10 shots back at 244. Sterling Whitaker rounded out the five-man squad at 258.

Concordia plays its final regular season event March 30-April 1 at Crystalaire Country Club in Llano at The Master's College Spring Event.
