(2/19/08 - Men's Golf) CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - Junior Ryan Kelley capped a solid two days of play by finishing in a tie for 14th overall, leading Concordia to a 9th place team finish at the OCU Arizona Intercollegiate, Tuesday afternoon at the Francisco Grande Golf Club.

Kelley finished the 54 holes with a total of 218, good enough for 2-over par. Kelley opened the tournament with an impressive 4-under par round of 68 on Monday, then came back and shot 2-over par 74 in the afternoon. He capped the three-round event with a 76 on Tuesday to pace the Eagles.

In an event boasting 4 of the NAIA's Top 10 ranked teams, the Eagles were able to accomplish their goal of shooting an average score of 300. They opened the tournament with a 298, which had the team sitting in 6th place after 18 holes. The Eagles carded four-man totals of 300 and 301 over the final 36 holes to end up with a team score of 899, bouncing back after finishing at 941 a week ago at the Cougar Invitational.

Jordan Andrews sandwiched a pair of rounds at 76 with a 1-under 71 on Monday afternoon and finished at 7-over 223 to share 28th place overall. Andrew Kitching saved his best golf for Tuesday and was just 1-over with a 73 to come in at 228 (+12) while Max Cohen ended up at 233 and Sterling Whitaker finished at 237. Nick Scheib also competed in the event and finished at 247.

The Eagles have a week off before heading to Steele Canyon Golf Club in Jamul to compete in the Point Loma Nazarene/Smee Builders Invitational on March 3-4.
