You might be surprised that Concordia does things a bit differently than some other Christian universities. For example, we don't require you to attend chapel, sign a faith statement, or minor in Theology. Why is that? Because as a Lutheran institution, we take the idea of "Grace Alone, Faith Alone" to heart.

God's Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). "Grace Alone" means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ. And we receive that grace through faith alone. God does not force us, he invites us with no conditions on His gift.

Likewise, we invite our community to be spiritually involved because they truly want to be. And there is plenty to involve you...not only chapel and Bible studies, but missions and service opportunities. You're not required to participate, but once you see the impact you can make on the world by sharing your faith and kindness, you'll be hooked.
