Meet Your Counselor: Jessica Hagerty

Quick Facts

Name: Jessica Hagerty
Hometown: Tempe, AZ
Degree: Psychology

Hobbies: Friends, family, beach, volleyball, reading, movies, traveling

About Me: I was born and raised in Arizona. Late senior year my heart found California for school, volleyball, and of course the beach! I graduated with a degree in Psychology. I hope to go back to school for nursing or counseling. My family and a few good friends make up my world. I currently live in Dana Point with my best friend truly enjoying this time of my life!

How has college transformed you?
College is a once in a lifetime experience. It’s a time of independence and growth. As much as I learned inside the classroom, I believe your experiences that happen outside the classroom is where you truly grow and find yourself. College prepares you for the real world in every aspect of your life. It’s a very exciting time where you will not only have tremendous personal growth but also build personal relationships that will last a lifetime.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
Enjoy all of your experiences! Follow your heart. Study hard, work hard, play hard. The harder you work in college, the easier your life will be when you step in to the “real world.”

How would you describe the atmosphere of Orange County, California?
Although I love my home state of Arizona, I truly appreciate everything Orange County has to offer. It has everything you could possibly need, want, or dream of: Laguna, Newport, Disneyland, mountains, and tons of opportunity. You will not find a more beautiful or resourceful place! Take advantage of it!
