How do I know what my gifts are? This is a common question for students everywhere, and here at Concordia, we would like to help you find the answer. The Career Services Center has a variety of resources to guide you in your search and there are numerous online inventories to explore as well. One of the best ways to discover your gifts is to talk to your professors, friends, and family and ask what strengths they see in you. At Concordia we offer many opportunities to try new things...take a course in a major that may interest you, or take an art or drama class to discover possible hidden talents, or embark on a mission trip to learn about serving others and broaden your view of the world. As you open yourself to new experiences, you will discover the amazing ways God has uniquely gifted you!

What’s the point of having gifts? Here at Concordia, we believe our gifts were given to us to serve the Lord and others in various ways. While it’s nice to sing in the shower, it’s much better to sing for the enjoyment of a crowded concert hall, or hit a homerun for your cheering schoolmates, counsel a friend who is down, or lead a Bible study group. Whatever your own gifts, it’s more fun to share them with others. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to do so at Concordia.
