Kalen Switches Schools to Discover Writing

Loading...

I discovered many of my gifts since I've come to Concordia. I've learned that I have abilities to socialize well with others, as well as many gifts in the classroom. I've learned that I have a gift for writing that remained undiscovered until I transferred to this school. These gifts have helped to realize that I had not yet reached my full potential and now I can further progress and develop more into a person that God would want me to be. Concordia has encouraged me to grow in my faith and develop these newfound gifts.

I recently transferred from Arizona State where I felt I did not fit in. While everyone was out partying, I would be sitting alone in my room reading or watching TV. Even last semester I didn't know the gifts I actually possessed. I wasn't doing well in school, I didn't have a lot of friends, and I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, or what God had planned for my life. I decided to transfer to Concordia and this experience has completely broadened my understanding and my gifts.

I've learned that I have a gift for writing that remained undiscovered until I transferred to Concordia.

Coming to Concordia was the best decision I've ever made. The teachers and other students have helped me to understand more about myself and what gifts I was blessed with. I have come to be much more sociable, making friends easily with all of the great people at this school. I have come to realize my talents in math as well as brand new talents in all of my classes. I have grown so much more in my faith and have come to realize that God has blessed me with gifts that allow me to help others. These gifts that I have been blessed with have helped me transform the person I was into the person I've wanted to be.

I've only been at Concordia for one semester but I already feel that these gifts have changed me for the better. I have discovered so many great things about myself and am so much happier than I've ever been. It's difficult to not discover your true potential when you are surrounded by such kind and encouraging students and faculty. The gifts they have helped me discover have changed me into the person I am today and that person is doing well in school, has lots of friends and recognizes that they are truly blessed by God. Coming to Concordia was definitely the best choice I ever made.
