Teach English in China while earning a Master of Arts in International Studies
You're a college graduate compelled by the idea of life and work overseas. China's ingenuity, opportunities and progress in business and education appeals to you, and you're seeking a masters degree to help you realize your professional aspirations.
But your time is limited. You can't afford to be stuck in a classroom in the States for two years. When you choose an international studies graduate program, it not only needs to be academically rigorous, but it needs to be accelerated and grounded in real world experiences.
You may be the perfect candidate for Concordia University's Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS) graduate program.
Founded in 2005, the MAIS program is an extraordinary program that cultivates academic, cultural, research and language skills, alongside a practical work experience in China – all in just one year. The MAIS program manifests Concordia's mission as a Christian university, which encourages students to engage people and cultures worldwide.
With our program, there's very little waiting to experience life and work in China. After a summer of intensive courses at our Irvine campus, you head overseas and immediately start living, working, and studying in China, perhaps in some of the ways you've always imagined.
What will your life be like in China? The MAIS program will prepare you to work in China, conduct research for your capstone project, and negotiate living on your own in a new culture. You will concentrate in one of the following concentrations: International Business, International Education or International Development, and live in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Kunming or their surrounding cities, which are among China's most important historical, intellectual, cultural and financial centers.
As a result, you will have unique opportunities to build personal and business relationships; globalize your professional resume with international experience and expertise; travel to ancient destinations, futuristic metropolises and cultural wonders; discover and pursue new interests, passions, and dreams.
