RN to bsn programWho:

Concordia University has expanded its mission by developing a Second Degree Accelerated BSN Program. This Accelerated BSN program will address the need for those desiring to change their professional career to becoming a Registered Nurse. The program is designed for graduates who already have a baccalaureate degree in any specialty from an accredited college or university. Students, in this nursing program, will be granted all units successfully completed in their first degree. Students will have to complete or transfer credits to meet the prerequisites prior to beginning the nursing program. It is possible to receive a BSN at the end of three semesters.

What:

A unique curriculum has been designed for students to learn the necessary knowledge and advanced skills to provide excellence in caring, compassionate, and competent nursing care.

The program includes 90 hours of clinical experience in a public health setting to prepare candidates to apply for the California Public Health Certificate. Additional clinical practica will include patient care in the areas of medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, maternal-child nursing and psychiatric nursing.

Why:

All aspects of the nursing program will reflect Concordia’s Christian values orientation—in world view, in relationships with patients and their families, and in a servant leadership approach to the profession of nursing.
