Financial Aid
Obtaining a quality education today represents not only an investment of time and energy, but a substantial financial commitment as well. While the responsibility for financing university costs belongs to students, the university will assist in meeting the financial obligation. Concordia University helps students to discover possible sources of aid.
Concordia University participates in many excellent programs of financial aid to college students which have developed nationally and within the State of California.
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Stafford Student Loan
- Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan
- Cal Grant A and B
- Veteran’s Benefits
- Tuition reimbursement programs
- Students applying for aid must complete the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (FAFSA) form. This application is available in the School of Business and Professional Studies Office or by logging on to www.fafsa.gov.
Please read and follow the instructions on the applications carefully. Fill out the applications completely and accurately and do not leave any items blank. Be sure to indicate “Concordia University, Irvine, CA” and the code # 013885 in the proper place on the application.
All California residents must apply for a Cal Grant from the California Student Aid Commission. This is done by completing the FAFSA and GPA verification by March 2nd. California residents are encouraged to apply for both Cal Grants A and B; however, only one of these awards may be accepted if offered. Please adhere to the deadlines as printed in the Concordia University Financial Aid Packet and in the FAFSA. Mail the FAFSA to the address provided on the application.
- Complete and submit the “CU Accelerate Financial Aid Application” to the Concordia University School of Business and Professional Studies Office as soon as possible. These applications are contained in the financial aid application packet or by request from the School of Business and Professional Studies Office. The application is also available for download from the main Financial Aid web page (click on the CU Accelerate Student button). Students will not be considered for aid unless they have completed the CU Accelerate Financial Aid Application.
