Classes in the Applied Liberal Arts (ALA) major meet in a hybrid format. This means that you meet in both a face to face traditional classroom format with your classmates and instructor, and also work in an online environment that involves written assignments, research and collaboration. Classes in the ALA major are taken one course at a time in sequence. Courses begin with face to face Saturday and Sunday sessions followed by four weeks of online work and a final face to face session on Friday night of the fourth week. Below is what a sample course calendar would look like. Your academic advisor will provide you with the most up to date calendar for you depending upon your start date in the ALA major.
