Concordia’s Second Degree Accelerated BSN & RN-to-BSN Degree Programs Begin in 2008
Concordia University Is Accepting Applications for the Second Degree Accelerated BSN Program Beginning August 2008.
Concordia University Irvine announces a new Second Degree Accelerated BSN Program. This new program is designed for those individuals who already have a Baccalaureate degree and desire to change their professional career. As a BSN student at CUI the candidate will learn how to provide excellent, compassionate, and competent nursing care to individuals across the life span.
Nursing courses will begin on Concordia’s Irvine campus in August 2008 and will be held during the week on campus and during week-ends at various clinical sites. Each nursing student will be assigned a nursing advisor during their studies at CUI.
This nursing program is offered through Concordia’s School of Business and Professional Studies. Students may transfer all units successfully completed in their first degree from an accredited college or university. Students will have to complete or transfer credits to meet the prerequisites prior to beginning the nursing program. It is possible to receive a BSN at the end of three semesters.
Concordia University Is Accepting Applications for the New Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Completion Program beginning May 2008
Concordia University Irvine is opening a new academic program to help nurses advance their careers by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). The program will help the more than 80 percent of working registered nurses (RNs) who do not have a bachelor’s degree in their field.
Nursing courses will be held on week nights and weekends to accommodate nurses’ working schedules. Depending on each student’s accumulated credits, it is possible to receive a BSN in one year over three semesters.
The program, offered through Concordia’s School of Business and Professional Studies, is designed for nurses who have a current and clear California RN license to practice and are graduates of an Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) program or a Nursing Diploma program. Through Concordia, RNs will earn 90 hours clinical experience in a public health setting to prepare them to apply for the California Public Health Certificate.
