Concordia University Irvine Rakes in the Season with their Fall Choral Concert

Who: Concordia University Irvine’s men’s Chorus and women’s choir, Donne di Canto | Dr. Marin Jacobson, conductor

What: Fall Choral Concert - an evening of dynamic music meant to touch the heart and stir the mind. A varied program of choral music including folk songs, global music, and inspiring sacred music. Antonio Vivaldi’s Beatus Vir, a setting of Psalm 112 for strings and women’s voices, will be a highlight of this concert. The concert will also feature the premiere of Dr. Jacobson’s latest choral composition, “Beautiful.”

First-year student Elisabeth Mullins said of the Fall Choral Concert, “I’m excited to sing 'Beautiful'. I feel so honored to perform it because Dr. Jacobson wrote it for us!” Senior student Margaret Langdon added, “It’s really special to get to sing this piece because we’re the very first ones.”
