What to Bring

The Office of Residence Life at Concordia University Irvine can best be described as moving into a semi-furnished apartment. This means that there are certain items that are provided for our residents and other items that our residents must bring with them. Below are a list of items that are provided in the rooms by the Office of Residence Life and a list of items that each student should bring with them.


What Concordia Provides

  • Twin-XL bed & mattress
  • Desk & chair
  • Dresser
  • Upper & Lower Quads: Regular size fridge & couch
  • Sigma/Rho: Mini-refrigerator & a microwave

What Students Should Bring

  • Curtains (the University provides curtain rods)
    • Rho & Sigma: each student should bring one set of curtains that are at least 72" wide by 56" tall; if you have your own space, bring two sets
    • Quads: Bedrooms - roommates should work together to bring two sets of curtains that are at least 76" wide by 56" tall; Common Areas - work with roommates and suitemates to bring three sets of curtains at least 56" wide by 56" tall
  • Linens (twin-XL)
  • Towels
  • Single-ply Toilet Paper (2-ply may cause plumbing problems)
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
  • Laundry Basket
  • Desk Lamp (floor lamp for Quads)
  • Trash Can and Cleaning Supplies
  • School Supplies
  • Fan (A/C units are not permitted unless approved by the DAS)
