New Student Spring Orientation
All new students, freshmen and transfers, are required to attend a one-day orientation program. Our New Student Spring Orientation is designed to prepare you for the start of classes, whether you are a freshman, transfer student, or parent.
At our New Student Spring Orientation, you can expect to:
- Locate where your specific classrooms are
- Learn tips that will help you achieve academic success at Concordia University Irvine
- Gain information about helpful campus resources
- Hear from current students about campus life
- Make new friends and meet your PACs
- Visit the Founders Bookstore to purchase your books and Concordia gear
- Get your individual questions answered
- Take and receive your student ID photo
- Register your vehicle and receive your parking decal
Is there a Spring Orientation fee?
All new students will be accessed a $100 New Student Orientation fee on their student account whether or not they choose to participate. We encourage you to treat each session as though it is mandatory as the schedule is designed specifically to help you transition positively to Concordia.
The fee will cover your meals before the meal plan starts as well as specific student activities offered to you throughout the week.
Can I invite my family and guests?
Definitely! In addition to preparing you to become a Concordia Eagle, we also want to ensure your family and guests are well prepared to support you in your transition to Concordia University Irvine. Meal tickets can be reserved for your family and guests by submitting the Spring Orientation RSVP form.
How do I reserve a spot for myself and my parents/family?
All information and communication will be relayed electronically; therefore, check your Eagles Email consistently to make sure you are prepared for your arrival in January.
How can I prepare for my arrival?
Prepare for your arrival by perusing our New Student Booklet and New Student Checklist. Here you will find information about our residence halls, meal plans, student mailboxes, campus resources, student involvement, etc.Check off the items on the New Student Checklist in which you have already completed. Be aware of the deadlines and paperwork required of you.
Also, continue checking your Eagles email as relative information on orientation, HOLDs, and/or housing information will be relayed to you.To expedite your Clearance process, take care of your HOLDs, otherwise you will be taking care of it when you check-in. Only those students who complete Clearance can check in for Housing.
