Our alumni are working in the industry. Here are some highlights of a few of them:
Katie Braun (2013) is working towards a master's degree in theatre education at NYU.
Lauren Winnenberg (2014) is an assistant director for Creative Kids Playhouse Children's Theatre of Orange County. She was recently a part of the 8th annual Young Artist Project with Phantom Projects Theatre Company. The project brought together 8 young artists between the ages of 18-23 who were given the task of creating a fully fleshed out, original show in a mere two weeks and perform it at the La Mirada Center for the Performing Arts.
Megan Tisdale (2013) is working for costume services at Disneyland.
Tanae Beyer (2005) is the Education Director and Literary Manager for the Chance Theater, Anaheim, CA (see www.chancetheater.com) where she also stage-manages frequently. Recently she stage-managed their production of "The Who's 'Tommy'" which was remounted at the Orange County Center for the Performing Arts.
Spencer Blair (2012) appeared in Looseleaf Theatre Co’s "As You Like It" (William, LeBeau, Oliver MarText, Hymen), and "Twelfth Night" (Feste) and in "Avenue Q" at the Empire Theatre - which won rave reviews in the O.C. Register.
Kelsie "Indiana" Blackwell (2008) works as a parade dancer at Disneyland and has appeared in Looseleaf Theatre Co’s "As You Like It" (Rosalind) - May/June 2013, and "Twelfth Night" (Viola) as well as "Frost/Nixon" at the Maverick Theatre in Fullerton - April/May 2012. Haley Brown (2013) ) stage managed The Comedy of Errors for Looseleaf (2014), The Children's Hour for Newport Theater Arts Center has been the assistant stage manager at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. She was recently hired by All for Kidz (or The NED Show) as a touring Edutainer taking a one-person show about bullying, being a champion in school and life. She will be touring around America and abroad with this unique show that involves acting and yo yo tricks!
Andrew Eddins (2009) is the voice of Optimus Prime at Universal Studios theme park. He recently appeared in the Looseleaf Theatre Co.’s "As You Like It" (Oliver) and “Twelfth Night” (Sebastian).
Courtny Greenough is a company member and frequent stage manager at the Chance Theater, Anaheim, CA (see chancetheater.com. She has also interned at the Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse and currently works full-time for the education department at the Orange County Center for the Performing Arts.
Justin Jorgensen (2011) completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Arts Administration at Southern Utah University where he worked for the Utah Shakespeare Festival. He is now Associate Artistic and Development Director for New Village Arts Theatre in San Diego.
John Marchetta (2008) appeared in Looseleaf Theatre Co. production of "As You Like It" (Adam) and "Twelfth Night" (Valentine).
Brock Powell (2011) is part of the theatre company “Fred Willard’s Mo Hos”. Willard has appeared in tons of TV and film comedies including Anchorman, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, and Roxanne. Brock is writing sketch material for the company and appearing in the sketches with Mr. Willard. Previously he appeared as the "Baker" in the Mysterium Theatre production of "Into the Woods" (June/July 2011), and the Chance Theater’s "Anne of Green Gables" (December, 2011).
Marisa Persson (2008) won a great review from the L.A. Times in the Chance Theatre production of "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol" (Dec. 2009) and then moved to Hollywood in 2010 where she signed with commercial (CCA) and theatrical (Cavaleri & Associates) representation and has advanced into the intermediate level at The Groundlings School of Improv. In 2012, she booked a lead in the short film "Imperfect" which premiered at the United Film Festival and a costarring role in the feature film "Trooper." Ron Rapp has sung in over 51 productions for over 15 years with Opera Pacific, and has also appeared with the Los Angeles Opera, Long Beach Opera and with the Pacific Chorale. He attended South Coast Repertory Theatre's Professional Conservatory and appeared in a few productions there.
Naomi Rogers (2011) worked as an actor/creator for the Imagination Machine in Orange County and has appeared with Looseleaf Theatre Co. in “The Comedy of Errors” (Nell) and "As You Like It" (Audrey).
Jeremy Schlitt (2011) works as a character at Disneyland and recently appeared as “Antipholus of Ephesus” in Looseleaf Theatre Co.’s production of “The Comedy of Errors”, "As You Like It" (Silvius), and "Twelfth Night" (Antonio).
David Schulz is the managing artistic director of Star Theatre Company in Oceanside, CA where his credits include "Thoroughly Modern Millie", "The Woman in Black" and "High School Musical".
Masako Tobaru (2005) is the technical director of the Chance Theater, Anaheim, CA (see chancetheater.com) where she frequently designs as well. See her profile on the theatre alumni profile pages.
Hannah Welter (2009) is the production manager at Concordia University. She previously worked as a lead scenic artist for Gothic Moon Productions and currently also works for Sets Unlimited and Pfinix Creative Group. She has returned to design the costumes at Concordia for "Hamlet", "I Never Saw Another Butterfly", the 2010 and 2012 Gala of Stars, and “Songs for a New World”
