Adjunct Professor, Communications Studies Department

It is an extensive religious upbringing that has guided my seventeen years of professional experience in the television and marketing industries. It started as a commercial producer for the Orange County News Channel, then continued as a marketing communications specialist at Experian Information Solutions launching the organization's first consumer website, and culminated as a sales marketing producer at FOX 11 Television before entering the educational field. I have received many accolades during my tenure in television and marketing with a Cable Advertising Award and several Telly Awards for commercials and long-format videos.

God's destiny for my life is in alignment with being a professor at a Christian University. Moreover, it is my ministry to change the face of media by training positive and faith-driven students wanting a career in the entertainment industry. As media evolves to include social media, I have been blessed to connect students to many trailblazers in new media through projects, internships, and by implementing a networking conference that will allow each student to develop a personal connection with individuals and companies specializing in social media.

The main purpose of Christian Education should be to include educators with diverse professional, personal and educational backgrounds. Teaching in three different counties in California (Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside), has allowed me to teach students of every ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural background. I have worked with students from high school to full-time professionals, from stay-at-home mothers to students with disabilities. It is with the loving support of my family that I have been able to let my light shine in the community as the former Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Summit Branch Library in Fontana, CA and currently a Member of the Social Media Club of Los Angeles. This personal statement shows a glimpse of how God is the author of reversals and what He can do with one humble servant
