Dr. Buddy Mendez
Dr. Buddy Mendez, associate professor of psychology and chair of the social science division, provided two presentations at the November, 2003 Lutheran Educator's Conference. The first, "Handling Difficult Children," provided general guidelines and practical principles teachers can use to provide support to children who are dealing with types of family stress. The second, "Discipline in the Classroom," applied various psychological theories to the issue of classroom management and discipline.
Dr. Cheryl Williams
Professor Dr. Cheryl Williams led groups of students on two-week trips to the South American nation of Suriname. The purpose of these trips are to interact with the culture of the Suriname people and to study the rain forest environment.
Dr. Jack M. Schultz
Dr. Schultz, associate professor of anthropology, is the author of several publications in the field as well as his 1999 book: "Seminole Baptist Churches of Oklahoma: Maintaining a Traditional Community."
Raymond Perez '96
CU alum, Raymond Perez recently completed his juris doctorate from Loyola Law School and is currently an associate attorney with the Hill Law Firm in Southern California.
Sarah Hickerson '01
Sarah Hickerson, a Concordia alumna who majored in history and political science, was recently recognized as an honoree at the National Philanthropy Day for the Orange County chapter November 2002. Sarah was nominated in the Outstanding Youth category for her efforts in the community.
