“After losing my job last September I had faith and confidence not only in God that I would find another job, but also because of the fact that I had an MBA to list on my resume from a great school like Concordia. Having an MBA set me apart from other applicants in a tough job market. With patience and perseverance, I found a job in February with many new opportunities as a commercial property manager at a growing company, which in this economy was very encouraging!

"I chose Concordia for my advanced education because of the quality of the learning environment. The MBA program was designed to build character and integrity in leadership which is needed in the business world today. My education at CUI has strengthened my ability to become an important and valuable asset to my employer now and in the future. I will always encourage others to seek their higher educational goals at a wonderful place that is called Concordia University, Irvine.”

“When I decided to pursue a Masters in Business Administration, a lot of people wondered, “Why an MBA?” Considering I have a B.S. in Microbiology and was ready for medical school (or so I thought). After spending 1.5 years working at a hospital as a volunteer, I quickly decided the life of a doctor was not for me. Instead, I developed an interest in management and administration. However, most MBA programs usually approach business in the traditional research-based approach. Personally, I didn’t want to sit through hours of finance classes when management was my main interest. This, along with many other reasons, is why the MBA program at CUI attracted me in the first place.

"Concordia’s MBA program offers a custom-fit curriculum unique to each individual student. Students choose which classes best fit their interests. Small class sizes add huge points to the program. I knew that in other MBA programs I would be a stranger in a class of one hundred. Instead, I was able to get to know each and every one of my classmates, even if it was only their name. We were able to share valuable experiences and our personal business knowledge with each other. It was quite a humbling experience for me. I thought I knew a great deal about business but then came to realize that is not exactly the case when your peers share something new with you! My first real job was in the education field as a tutor. Then I was in the furniture import business, and right now I am back to the field where I first started: education. The difference is, today, I am on the other side of the education field as an administrative officer. I don’t know what the future will look like (who does?), but I am confident the knowledge and experiences gained during my years at CUI will be a valuable asset to any field I wish to pursue. It does not matter from which educational background you came from; you will always find a place in the program if you are willing to look. I know I did.”

“I am a Bio-Medical Engineer by profession and have worked at Edwards Lifesciences for well over four years. At Edwards Lifesciences we continually work every second in finding solutions to save lives. Working in a dynamic environment such as Edwards, not only provides you with a wealth of knowledge but it also provides an experience that one waits for.

"Enrolling in Concordia’s MBA program was one of the best decisions of my life. It prepared me as an individual and helped me attain milestones that I have planned for in my career. The preeminent staff at Concordia was always there to ensure my success and assist me with my questions. What I have gained from Concordia cannot be put into words as it might not be enough. What Concordia has offered me is the ability to lay out a path that I plan to follow to ensure success in my career and beyond."

“When I began the Concordia University MBA program I had never taken a business class, and being the youngest student in the course did not make things easier for me. By the end of the first lecture I had connected with a group and received the reassurance from both the teacher and my classmates that I was in the perfect place to learn, grow and achieve. Time has shown them to be right in every aspect. My first year experience in Concordia’s MBA program has been incredible. Developing the skills required in both the individual and group settings has prepared me for excellence in my field. The instructors also made it their task to help me in any way to ensure mastery of their subject. Numerous times I met outside of class with a professor one on one to go over material. Each instructor always made him- or herself available to meet with me. The result, a firm grasp of each subject that was initially foreign.

"I am now applying the skills I have learned in this program to open a performance training center in South Orange County, Juggernaut Training Systems. Juggernaut Training Systems will combine the managerial business skills I have developed with top of the line strength development to create a product that is simply better than anything else Southern California has to offer. I have learned how to isolate a market segment, communicate with target customers, and most importantly manage the cash flow of a business on a day to day basis. Juggernaut Training Systems will be producing amazing results in our athletes, but we will also be operating our business with best practices and the skills that I have learned in this program. Anyone interested in increasing their entrepreneurial business methods will greatly benefit from Concordia’s MBA program, and I highly recommend this program to anyone.”

"The work of Compassion's ministry is a giant call! The Concordia University MBA program prepared me for God's work with an incredible business education, grounded in biblical principles. It is amazing to look in the rear-view mirror to see how God's plan has unfolded in my life and how he used Concordia as a spring board for His path of ministry.

"My role for Compassion International is to vision and direct marketing efforts tied to global poverty intervention programs (i.e. Aids/HIV, Malaria, Global Food Crisis, etc.) Over the years, I've conducted workshops and training events on strategic marketing and community/media relations for thousands of non-profit leaders across the country. In addition to my work with non-profits, I've worked with government agencies and corporations like Disney to structure and assist their community relations efforts. I also serve as adjunct faculty at Colorado Technical University in the areas of Marketing & E-Commerce.”
