Blackboard is an educational delivery system where you will access your classes.
This is the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, which has many resources for students including tutorials, library resources, etc. It is also another way to access your Eagles Email, Blackboard, BannerWeb, and the IT department.
Graduate students can enjoy the freedom of our online self service. Some features available to you through Banner Web include:
- Personal Information: Maintain your personal information; no more misdirected mailings! With this feature you can keep your mailing address information updated and change your PIN.
- Student Services: With this feature your can view your academic records.
- Registration: Check your registration status and view your class schedule.
During your course of studies (both here in the States and in China) you will have access to a collection of over 9,000 periodicals and journals, many in full text, online. Your Banner ID (an E followed by eight numbers) plus your WebCT password will give you access to the data bases. The URL for the library is www.cui.edu/library.
Below are directions for use of the online library resources. They are also in printed form in a booklet you will (or did) receive at your library orientation.
Library Catalog (you will be able to see the card but will not have access to the book itself until you return to campus)
You may want to start with learning Academic Search Premier since it covers the widest assortment of periodicals and journals. If you need guidance using the resources of the online data bases, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (949) 214-3096.
While you are on campus this summer, don't hesitate to talk with our Public Services librarian, Melanie Junge. She will be happy to help you understand the searching process and give you excellent guidance in finding useful information. Summer library hours are posted on the library door.
