Technology Requirements
Concordia strongly recommends that students have access to a computer that meets the following specifications:
- Hardware & Peripherals
- A processor of 1.6 GHz or faster
- 256MB RAM or greater
- 20 GB Hard drive or larger
- Ethernet connection or 56.6 kbps modem
- Monitor and video controller with 1024 x 768 or greater resolution
- Sound controller with speakers
- CD-ROM or DVD optical drive
- Printer
- Software/Applications
- Operating system - Windows® or Mac OS compatible with the following software
- Microsoft® Office XP, 2003, 2007, Office 2004(Mac) - Including
- Microsoft® Word
- Microsoft® Power Point
- Microsoft® Excel
- Microsoft® Publisher
- Adobe® Reader 6.0.1 or later
- A current anti-virus application (updated regularly)
- Internet service provider (ISP) accounts (preferably broadband access)
- 2 email addresses
- Concordia email address: first.last@eagles.cui.edu
- Alternate email address at home or workplace
- At least two web browsers (Internet Explorer is already installed on PCs and Safari is already installed on Mac computers)
