If you have been putting off working on your Master's degree for whatever reason, you should seriously consider getting started at Concordia. I just finished my first class (8 more to go!) and it was the only class that I have ever taken that has helped me improve as a coach. The classes are taught by instructors in our field (my instructor was Baldwin Park AD Mike Zimmerman) in a collaborative atmosphere. We share our knowledge and research and learn from each other. Earning my Masters is something I've always known that I have to do to move up on the pay scale and possibly become a college coach, but at Concordia it is actually something I am looking forward to.

Apply for Graduation or Transcripts

Transcripts

  • Unofficial transcripts: You may access through MyRecords under "Student Services" and then "Student Records."

  • Official transcripts: To order, visit the Registrar's site.

  • If you have an official copy of your undergraduate transcripts, mail it to the MCAA admissions office. If you do not have a transcript to mail in, you can complete our Transcript Release Form, and we will order it for you. If it is within one month of the start of classes, you are responsible for ordering your transcripts.

Graduation Process

  1. In order for your degree to post and to receive your diploma you must apply for graduation, even if you are not attending the ceremony in May. We hold the ceremony once a year (in May) but you still must apply in the term in which you are finishing.
  2. Apply for Graduation in the term that you are enrolled in your last class, MCAA 595 or MCAA 595E. Contact Chelsea Rhodes by email or call her at (949) 214-3261 for an application. The application will also be posted in Blackboard for your last class, MCAA 595.
  3. MCAA Degree requirements checklist:
    • 3.0 Cumulative GPA
    • Passing Grade for MCAA 595
    • 5 core classes completed and passed (MCAA 510, 530, 550, 580, 595)
    • 4 elective classes completed and passed
  4. If you don't finish in the term you apply in then you must fill out a Reapply Application once you are done.
  5. Diplomas will be mailed out to students at the end of each term.
  6. Graduation Festival is held each year before the May ceremony. This is where you will pick up your cap and gown. If you are unable to attend this event, you will need to order your cap and gown with the Registration Office after Grad Fest has taken place.
