Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV) is a fully accredited, private, non-profit Catholic institution established in 1992. It has a 62 acre campus located in the residential neighborhood of Pozuelo de Alarcon, 9 miles northwest of Madrid. Population is made of 4,500 undergraduate and graduate students, 14% of those are international students.
The UFV is named after the Spanish Dominican Friar Francisco de Vitoria, a great theologian, philosopher and jurist of the sixteenth century, who taught at the universities of Paris, Valladolid and Salamanca.
Madrid is the regal Spanish capital, a financial and political core. It is home to the Royal Family as well as the extraordinary cultural riches of the Golden Triangle - the Prado, Reina SofĂa and Thyssen-Bornemisza art museums. The labyrinthine streets of the medieval quarter contrast with the grand boulevards, laid out in the 18th and 19th centuries when Madrid began to take on the trappings of a modern capital.
