During his visit at Concordia, Diamond will deliver the Concordia Convocation address on Monday, September 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the CU Center, visit classes, and engage students in other ways.

David Loy, Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Theology, said "Diamond is a great example of someone who has built a successful professional life on the basis of hard work and a strong liberal arts background." Jeff Held, Associate Professor of Music, Director of Instrumental Activities, Chair – Performing and visual Arts Division, said "Diamond is an innovative musician who demonstrates how music is impacted and can impact many disciplines in the liberal arts."

Diamond has led a varied career since his graduation from Haverford College with a degree in music and philosophy. He has been a composer, internet entrepreneur, journalist, writer, and musician. Diamond has composed over 100 works for symphonies, dance, theatre and film. His ensemble, “Electric Diamond” has been performed continually since 1979 and is a unique blend of live classical electronic music.
